"Die Unterkunft besteht aus einfachen, aber sehr sauberen Holzbungalows, die inmitten der schönen Natur des Tortuguero Nationalparks liegen. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist hervorragend und auch sonst isst man sehr gut im Restaurant vor Ort (nicht ganz billig, wie überall in Costa Rica). Am Morgen wurden wir von Brüllaffen geweckt. Mit einem gratis Bootsshuttle kann man in den Hauptort fahren, wo es viele weitere Restaurants gibt."

"Property is beautiful but ocean wasnt friendly to swim in. The pool is nice with a waterfall. Breakfast was basic and one morning weiners were offered as the only meat option. Next morning only eggs bun and juice. We left a day early due to all the rain and we stayed end of Jan beginning of feb (dry season)."

"Friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located. Easy walk to all of the local restaurants, beaches and attractions. The grounds of the hotel and rooms were beautiful and incorporated the natural beauty of the area. I highly recommend and would stay here again. "

"Staff, setting, and food were all awesome. It was a peaceful, natural hotel. Prepare for rain. It’s a part of the experience, and there were lots of breaks in the rain, even some sun around the pool in the afternoon. The night walk was unforgettable, the little town of Tortuguero so interesting, and the water transport to and from Pavona docks was so mesmerizing and unique. I loved the staff who work at Mawamba! Big shout out to the restaurant staff, chefs, and bar staff. "

"The staff were good as well as my dinner and breakfast. I had a room overlooking the water which was nice. Lots of street noise below but quiet after 11. Good location downtown. Also has a secured parking lot. The shower didn't drain properly and needs fixing - only negative"

"El lugar es excelente, pero hay que mejorar con los tiempos de respuesta de la limpieza se tuvo que recodar un par de veces que cambiaran los paños y que limpiaran la habitación. Pero por lo demás, ese lugar es un excelente lugar, un oasis en medio de la selva y cerca de la playa. Muy buena atención desde la recepción hasta el restaurante y el bell boy. "

"I am not sure if we received VIP. perks but the property, food, staff, and room were awesome. It was like a little oasis in a bustling but laid back area. The restaurant, Gigi’s, was lovely and the staff were so friendly. The food options were flavourful and the entertainment made it extra special. Great staff in reception and housekeeping, too. Beautiful pool area. "
