"We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). "Quiet and close to many photo spots. Grocery stores are closed by. However, electric supply isn't good enough for the whole house. When you have a lot of guests and need to use all the a/c for warming or chilling the house, the fuse jumped all the time. You can only take turns to turn on the different electrics inn the house."

I appreciate the breakfast delivery service, allowing for a meal at my preferred time, and the inclusion of wine or juice (the wine was particularly delightful). "The hotel is extremely spacious, super clean and has all the household needs. More importantly, the owner couple is very nice! We asked them to call for the taxi, they drove us to where we needed instead for free! You can see the Mt. Fuji from the upper balcony very clearly! Would recommend everyone to come to this hotel!"

"Beautiful hotel with a magnificent view of Mt Fuji. It is a grand yellow hotel nestled in the hillside so the hotel itself is quite picturesque. "Outstanding hotel and staffs. Service is second to none. They exhibited the traditional Japanese hospitality and treated guests with respect. This is the best hotel I experienced in the past several years in Japan. On the 5th floor, the gorgeous Fuji mountain is like right on your backyard. The dinner and breakfast were super. "Hoshinoya Fuji is just so beautiful and serene. We stayed for two nights and had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our long trip to Japan. Service was very quick and gracious, always there to book a cab for us (no uber in this area) or bring us an in-room curry at the last minute. "This hotel was nice and had some great amenities, but it is located pretty far from the train station and it seems the buses in the area stop running at 6:30 pm. "The property is right behind a bus stop, and above a convenient store, which makes it easy to navigate and plan out activities. The front desk was courteous and able to call a taxi for us. The chef lady serves excellent breakfast. The room is spacious but not as clean as other hotels we experienced in Japan. "
