"Cheap and safe. Friendly staff. Old building but a couple of decent modernizations. Interesting little neighbor. Feels like a real part of Vietnam. Not touristy. Small streets. Little shops. "This is a great little independent hotel about ten minutes walk from the domestic terminal. Vietnamese style, simple but comfortable. My room was spacious and clean, the bed really comfortable. Bathroom also large and very clean. The staff were really helpful and nice, with quick check in and check out. "We had a great stay at the Equatorial. We had kids also and the staff was friendly and helpful (sadly this is not the norm at all 5-star properties in Vietnam, so it was a nice experience). The pool is great, I would recommend a room by the pool. The food was also very food (slightly pricy compared to alternatives, but comparable). I would recommend this hotel as great option for visiting HCMC. "
