We booked two beach suites for 11 days and, before making our decision, conducted extensive research on over 20 different resorts across Phuket. Our needs were simple: a beachfront resort with direct beach access, located in an area where we could walk around and explore. The Boathouse ticked all the boxes, and we are extremely pleased with our choice. What truly sets this resort apart is the exceptional service. Every single member of the staff goes above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and well looked after. While we’re tempted to name specific individuals, we’re equally afraid of leaving someone out — so we’ll simply say: thank you to the entire team and management. You all deserve praise for creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Kata Beach, where the resort is located, is perfect for those seeking a quieter, more relaxed environment. It’s not a party scene, but it offers plenty of restaurants, shops, and charming spots to wander around. Since we stayed in April, the heat was quite intense most of the time — but with the beach just steps away and the pool within reach, a refreshing dip was always available. A few things to note: the beach is public, but sunbeds can be rented. There are also three restaurants right on the beach just outside the hotel, as well as a great beachfront bar/restaurant that stays open late. "

"Great stay, we loved it so much that we extended our stay for an extra 10 nights on top of the original 9. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great facilities for kids. Really great massages at the spa. It’s postioned on top of a steep hill but they have a shuttle. Lovely pool too. I would stay there again. Bar drinks can be very expensive, good happy hour at the pool but outside of this it’s very expensive. Also did not like being charged for the individual activities at the Kids Club. Virtual Reality/charity shop should be repurposed as Muay Thai boxing/gym extension. "

"Extremely diligent staff and comfortable rooms. I was so sick while I was here (not because of the hotel!) and they cared for me so well and made such I got the medical care I needed. The room was lovely and dinners in the evening were lovely but I'll never forget the kindness of the hotel staff helping me in my hour of need. They identified I needed medical help and got it to me so quickly and stayed with me."
