"Our one night stay was incredible - the kaiseki dinner was wonderful and the staff warm and friendly. The highlight would be the private onsen on the rooftop where we sat watching the sunrise at 6.30am while enjoying the warmth of the onsen. "The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! The unexpected : lI had to call housekeeping twice to change the ground sheet on one of the beds, first time because my daughter identified mould, the second time to change it because of holes. Why would a sheet with holes get missed ? The dinner was to expectations but the breakfast was very sub-par. What annoyed me the most was the 2 pieces of French toast, not only were they too soft and guey in texture, but...

"I really enjoyed the rooms at the property. The Ryokan style rooms with paper screen sliding doors and tatami mats made the room feel comfortable as well as the western style beds. "Amazing hotel with stunning views of Lake Ashi. All-inclusive resort style, with Breakfast and dinner buffet included. Onsen with indoor and open air pools, all necessary toiletries provided, toothbrush/toothpaste, razors, q tips, combs, amazing skin care products! The Hakone Ropeway is just a 3-5 minute walk. It was a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Definitely recommend and would love to stay here again!"

"We stopped at Madoka No Modi Ryoken for one nights during our stay in Japan and loved it! The staff were very friendly and attentive and the traditional Japanese breakfast/dinner was amazing. The room and private onsen was relaxing and peaceful and we will definitely be back! "
