"A lovely convenient place to stay, but be prepared to open doors yourself while managing luggage. Great restaurants, but wait staff need a bit more training. (Knowledge of menu etc., and time management. Still my top choice of hotels for proximity and cleanliness! "

"Rectory Farm is set in a stunning location, in the middle of beautiful rolling countryside, yet easy to reach from Cambridge (we did a combination of cycling and public transport). Although Rectory Farm does not have breakfast facilities, they offer recommendations nearby. We opted for the Caton Orchard Garden Centre, and loved it. The room (we had the Superior King) was comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. The overall atmosphere was that of a luxurious old-world stay. As for where...

"Really enjoyable 2 night stay while exploring Cambridge. Breakfasts very good with no complaints, lovely building & grounds. Only negatives were that the only dining available was more a cafe than a restaurant & there wasn't a nice lounge to relax in afterwards. It would have been ideal to relax with a drink in the evenings in one of the old rooms like the Stuart Room with an open fire in it. Instead we ate both nights at The 3 Horseshoes pub which is a 5min walk & is highly recommended."

"The Gonville is a beautiful hotel. Centrally located in Cambridge, it has a mixture of elegance and style. The rooms are very unique and brings back that feel of what UK hotels are renowned for.
