"Great hotel"

"We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. "Paid over $600 US for three people, decided to leave San Pedro earlier than planned due to harassment by hawkers, emailed Amelias explaining would not be checking in, told no problem, go to hotel in person before arrival date for full refund. Went two days before, was told by owners wife there was no record of my booking, no record of my payment or my name, the rooms were already re-rented, and to discuss it with her husband, who was out of country and unavailable."

"Convenient location; helpful staff, clean property. Rooms need updating (a full length mirror & dishwasher would be nice). Tile surrounding pool is very slippery—not a good choice. Overall, very nice though."

"This was a great place to stay. Clean accommodations and friendly staff. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Caribbean sprinter water taxi terminal was a two minute walk to the doors of the hotel. Belize was a great vacation. We utilized a golf cart to get around the island which was convenient."

"Really great little spot, rooms are amazing, and modern great view of the ocean. Bartender and manager are very lovely and welcoming. Some comments say it's noisey at night, but bar now closes promptly at 9pm which is perfect. There are tons of restaurants/bars minutes away with events every night. Only small negative, pool deck doesn't get a ton of sun in the afternoon, get out there early! "
