"Fabulous!!! My wife and I were looking for a base to stay for 11 days in the Perigord / North Dordogne to allow us to explore the area and found this fantastic "petit chateau" on the outskirts of Thiviers. "The desk staff at this hotel was incredibly unfriendly. We booked two nights total, coming and going. On the second arrival the desk clerk was rude, confrontational and we learned later a liar. "Compact and well appointed , we liked the sliding shutters that kept out the sun, and tge masses of storage. It would be a great place to spend several days exploring the area. Julien and Angelique are good hosts who made us feel very welcome, and it was lovely to be able to have an excellent dinner there too after a long drive. We felt the only thing that let it down was the minimalist breakfast- not very good value. We would certainly return, but maybe not for breakfast."

"We had such a delightful stay at this lovely hotel - a beautiful setting, extremely comfortable rooms and public spaces, and exceptionally attentive, helpful, and friendly staff. We felt warmly welcomed and cared for from the moment of arrival to our departure. Breakfast was also delicious, and the sound of the river rushing by outside our window and the dining room was heavenly. A very special place, very special people, and surely one of the one of the loveliest hotels in the area."

"We used Le Mas des Boires as a home base for a family wedding (service in Saint-Jean-de-Côle, reception at Chateau des Boires). The property was beautiful with a wonderful outdoor garden, refreshing pool (although smaller than the picture), and well-appointed stately rooms with private bathrooms (we had two large side-by-side rooms with balconies that overlooked the property. We loved the historic charm of the building - huge manger in the dining room; stone walls, exposed wood beams, etc....

Le menu du soir ainsi que le petit déjeuner (qui est inclu) étaient excellent et bien copieux. Nous avons pu profiter d’une nuit étoilée magique depuis le lit dans la bulle! La bulle est située au milieu d’une petite forêt réservée qu’à nous.
