"Lots of minor niggles this time including faulty tv every day despite being seen to by staff, faulty phone, faulty safe, twice, one of the lifts out of order for our full stay, difficult for me as I use walking sticks and the lift was often busy, disappointing!"

"Hotel is undergoing a major update that greatly improves the rooms. During the upgrade, construction noise can be heard from 9 am until 5 pm. Elevators do not appear to be adequate for the number of rooms in the building. Internet service was very poor, dropping signal regularly, and not available to us for more than half of the time."

"This stately older hotel was located in a quiet, yet active area. Close to trains, subway, buses made the hotel accessible to everything. Several nearby parks for walking and relaxing, including St. James Park and Hyde Park. Rooms and common areas were very clean. Rooms are European small but workable with excellent newer bathrooms. "continental" breakfast was really a full breakfast, self serve with a number of helpful staff. Good experience. "

"Quietest hotel ever. Concierge lacked any knowledge of the area. Offered no useable advice. Rest of staff went the extra mile. Cleaning staff actually pushed us out of the way to help with our bags. Front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent except for the typical European watery undercooked eggs and fatty undercooked bacon. Sausages were best ever. There were many choices otherwise. I will return here."

"Great stay. The hotel is located right off of Trafalgar Square making most of central London walkable to visitors. There are also many options for public transportation very near the hotel. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet, plus there are several other breakfast options just a few steps out the door. The Pizza place next door is great, too. Our room was comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure and temperature control.The CQ Lounge is a great amenity if you arrive too early...
