"Clean, modern, and roomy King Suite. The staff could be friendier. I did not like the lighting system controls as there is no way to turn the bathroom light on without turning every room on. The dimming option actually turns on some rooms in rotation instead of dim the light of the bedroom. The lighting at the mirror is too weak. I could not use it to apply the makeup easily. The bedding was high quality. The bathrobe was very rough. "

"For the price, Mellow Fields was an excellent choice to get around the Shilin District conveniently. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. However, the place may need to work on its cleanliness: There were moldy spots in the bathroom and dusty corners in our room. Several bathroom tiles were chipped and the caulking was wearing off. "The breakfast buffet that was part of the booking (room rate) made our stay an excellent one. The food was not that grand but enough to fill our tummies and jump start our day. We maximized it to our heart's content. Location wise, a bit far but the bus station just behind the hotel makes our mtr to shipai station as swift as possible and our return as well. Enough space for a family of 4. And best part was the laundry room. We recommend this hotel for your future taiwan travels. "

"The Hotel is very nice, beautiful and clean. breakfast buffet was very good with Asian and western choices. Located close to MRT station and bus stops making it easy to get around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this is my new go to place in Taipei. Also I would like to add its surprisingly quiet and peaceful even though the street and MRT tracks are close by. "

"As a customer for years, I still want to rate this hotel a high mark. Hotel’s recent renovation uplift the rooms from traditional to modern classic. Along with much better services. Garage staff, door attendant, front desk personal and room services are all excellent. Hotel’s location is perfect for food lovers. Couple Michelin ranked restaurants are steps away. One restaurant in the hotel got Michelin ranking. Room service items are good quality and very reasonable. Nearby malls has food court. Hotel’s breakfast is very good. "
