"For the price, Mellow Fields was an excellent choice to get around the Shilin District conveniently. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. However, the place may need to work on its cleanliness: There were moldy spots in the bathroom and dusty corners in our room. Several bathroom tiles were chipped and the caulking was wearing off. "Room is spacious, clean and fresh. Good aircon ventilation. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Love the hot spring bath right in our room. Entire hotel premise is well maintained, clean and beautiful. Buffet breakfast spread is reasonably well stock. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. "

"The breakfast buffet that was part of the booking (room rate) made our stay an excellent one. The food was not that grand but enough to fill our tummies and jump start our day. We maximized it to our heart's content. Location wise, a bit far but the bus station just behind the hotel makes our mtr to shipai station as swift as possible and our return as well. Enough space for a family of 4. And best part was the laundry room. We recommend this hotel for your future taiwan travels. "

"the location is near everything. there are lot of restaurants, convenience stores around the hotel. hotel itself is clean N staffs are nice. "

"Hotel room was bigger and comfortable than what we would find in places closer to Ximending. What I really like is how the lights have been designed to provide just enough light for the night and dim enough to still find my way to the toilet. The hotel is about 5 mins walk to the Beitou MRT. Along the way you will pass a Family Mart and a 7 Eleven which is very convenient if you like to buy snacks. "
