"Was greeted on arrival with bottles of water and chocolates - very nice. Our room was large, comfortable and with floor to ceiling windows at the rear where we could view the countryside from some very comfortable arm chairs. Bedding was spotless. Free netflix provided. "

"The motel is located next to the state highway, convenient to access, to 15 minutes from the Waitomo caves. The host, Margeret is very friendly and helpful. She provided milk when we checked-in, and also offered to dry our wet cloth that we got from the previous activity. Although the facility is not the newest but it's very clean and convenient. I am happy that we stayed there for the night."

"Nice clean and tidy self-contained unit. Pleased with accommodation. Pity it was hard to find where to check in. Good signage would solve this. Planting some low maintenance native plants (pongas and using limeston rock features) near the front without costing a fortune would be a lovely addition to the name. Would stay again."

"Great little spot right near the glow worm caves... Very nice room with one full wall of windows leading to a cozy balcony... Clean, bright, and very comfortable... Friendly staff and easy check in... Nice on-site restaurant... It is directly off the highway, so it's a bit noisy, but not terrible, just cars whooshing by frequently... "

"Beautiful location, grounds and cabin. So close to glow worm caves and have their own little glow worm grotto on the property. Only a 60 second walk from the cabins. Also close to a waterfall and black sand beach. Angus was such a gracious host who made sure we had everything we needed including toast jams and coffee. "This hostel is located right across the street from the blackwater rafting company who we booked our adventure tour of the glow worm caves with. The hostel is near quiet farm property. We booked a room that had a private bathroom. It was clean and perfect for our stay. The main room and kitchen was welcoming with a fire going keeping the hostel comfortable. "Was only for one night as I visited the Caves. I was given a mountain view room with a balcony which was nice. I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The room was perfect, great hot water and pressure in the shower. If you are facing the road, you may experience traffic noise, but there are earplugs in your room. "
