"The hotel was having some decoration work doing to it whilst on our visit. The work was contained, but we were welcomed by a lady who was using the hoover and didn’t stop and made us feel in the way! Breakfast: good New TV delivered one day in our room & woke us up as it was programmed with an alarm at midnight! Annoying ! We spoke to room service and the front desk 4 times over 2 days as our air conditioning stopped working. They kept saying they had fixed it & they hadn’t, also annoying....

"Beautifully located hotel, close to the beach (a few minutes), with very friendly service and a nicely renovated lobby and reception area. The rooms however are quite old and need renovation, bed was really old and uncomfortable, bath room also old. You can almost feel the old times in the corridors... However the nice service and rather good breakfast make up for it. "

"Although I was on business and did not have time to enjoy the Spa facilities or pool more than twice in my stay I enjoyed the pool when I used it. Many people may not realise that behind the hotel is a fabulous maritime forest which I have enjoyed in the past. The walk to the beach may be longer but my business was close by so this was ideal."

"This medieval castle is owned and operated by a private family who do a marvelous job of getting every thing just right. I was quiet overwhelmed by the ambience which is why I added 2 more nights on to the original booking of 4 nights. Also they brew their own beer which I found very good. "It was a good location but the hotel is a little dated. The room was a very good size. There was an electric outlet that was broken the toilet started to constantly drip. The breakfast was not great but okay. The price was a bit high. I have stayed at better hotels for less. "
