Hotel Rooms with Balcony in Upper Normandy

"We arrived at the hotel hot and tired. to find it was closed. We had no prior warning, only a notice on the door giving a telephone number. We called this number and were diverted to another hotel, the Beausejour, ten minutes walk away. The room here was shabby with no wifi and no breakfast available."

"These type of hotels are hit and miss. I’ve stayed in a lot of them. It was ok for a stopover one night if you don’t expect too much. Basically I just want somewhere to sleep. It all depends on who your neighbours are- unfortunately we had rowdy neighbours who were up a lot of the night making loads of noise with children running around, lots of moving stuff around etc- making no attempt to think of others - so if you encounter that then it’s not going to be good anywhere. "This cozy little hotel is in a great location right next to the promenade. I slept well. It is exceptionally soundproof. I have never seen such heavy, tightly fitted doors. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was mold in the bathroom. And my room had no bathtub. Just a shower."
