"Its proximity to the ropeway was the biggest catch. They have a true onsen but sadly people are naked and don’t wear clothing and modesty is not followed . The staff are great and speak good English. The breakfast is generous but doesn’t quite fit the foreign pallet . Recommendation is that enjoy the delicious bakery items in the ropeway eateries ."

"Had to stay here as changed dates for skiing holiday. While this hotel has shuttle buses to the ski fields it is quite some distance and not ideal. Bought breakfast and dinner package- for four days it is monotonous and not great. "Lovely attentive staff, delightful traditional Japanese rooms. Great views and Onsen, close to the bus for Alpine route, though not much else nearby in terms of shops or eating. "The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Ibsen was well equipped and clean. I liked the indoor and outdoor options. Food was amazing. I would recommend adding the half board to your reservation. Transportation to station and ski resort was seamless. "

"Hotel location is great and staff are trying to be nice. Hotel did not have ski locker as advertised (problem as we went with ski gear which had to freeze in the car overnight). Outside Onsen was closed (so forget that nice picture). Room was not cleaned every two days as supposed to be and towels were not refreshed. "Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

"We are the repeaters. This the rare co-ed onsen which allows you to go in with your friends and family. The onsen was filled with milky warm water so that you can stay in long hours and enjoy other people's company. Very relaxing environment surrounded by mountains. The food was omakase and very good. We enjoyed all of the local cuisine items with great beer and sake. "

"We really loved this hotel because it was so close to the bus station and the view outside was so beautiful. They have onsen, that we were able to relax after our full day of hiking. Japanese breakfast was good. And the staffs are so friendly. "

"Owner was very kind and prepared very good dinner even we requested in very late time. It is Japanese style room, so if you are not used to futon it might be hard. Room is very spacious and confortable. Shower is in common place, next to onsen. It is also convenient that there is also an small drugstore to buy some snacks or drinks"

"We had an unique experience staying here. Shoes ares kept in lockers next to hotel entrance. We walked on the soft, comfortable tatami throughout the hotel common area. The hotel provides mechanic car park - which is helpful, so we don't have to worry about our car being subject to snow or cold. Highly recommend this hotel."
