"A nice simple stay in a nice city. A bit over crowded at times in the sharing facilities due to size. Bathroom thou shared were kept clean to most part and bed and air conditioning were in good condition and quality. Hostel also felt safe and secure and noise was minimal after 10pm "

"Great hostel. Quick getaway to party. Didn't expect to meet a bloke name Luke who happened to stay here also and at Wicked Pub crawl. Great value for money. Just wish the top bunk i was on had power outlet. 10 min walk from Cavil Ave. Highly recommend great staff too"

"Property was in a good location but the kitchen was very full and hard to find any space."

"As much as i want to keep this hostel a hidden gem, they deserve all the business possible. A simple yet welcoming environment, this place completely changed my prospective on hostels. It's not a party place and everyone respects one another, a very relaxed place. Location is centeral to everything in town on the waterfront, but the sounds of outside arent heard. I cannot recommend this place enough and cannot wait to return."

"Our stay was really nice and the place well kept. But this changed when we were checking out and had to strip our sheets off the bed to take to reception. When doing this we found black mould over the mattress and I’m not talking about a little bit. It’s was truly disgusting and after seeing that, I think Nomads needs to step up and get on top of this as it’s not good enough for how much they charge for a backpackers. "

"Friendly staff, very convenient location, all (bed linen, towel, ...) very clean, 50m from Cairns big shopping centre with major supermarkets, department store. The communal kitchen is very well organised, clean. Secure car parking for $5 a day. Negative things are the free wifi is only up to 5Mbps during off-peak but very slow and just enough to check email at night (peak-hours), power points should be close to the bed or the floor or the very small table in the room, if your phone charging...
