"The room is small and can be difficult to move around with two people and luggage. There is no onsen (spa) or sauna for women, only men. This should be made clear before booking. There was mold around the air vent and condensation on the window every morning but otherwise the room was clean. Ask for a non-smoking room, even the towels smelled of smoke. We could open the window, which helped. The best part is how quiet the room was was despite the proximity to the station. Great location and...

"It was raining when we got to the hotel, and I was immediately offered a towel to help dry off. The staff spoke English well enough to understand what I was saying without any difficulty. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and had all the amenities that we needed. Only a 10 minute walk to Sannomiya Station made seeing the town a breeze. Also Kobe beef was amazing, highly recommend it."

"This was such a fun property to stay at and experience a glimpse of Japan culture! With the onsen, huge selection of food at the breakfast buffet, massage chairs, free late night ramen, and ice cream - its a must experience! The only downside is the amount of tourists, which also makes sense because of all the recent influencer videos the hotel has gone viral worldwide. The hotel is very very busy, all day and night with guests. It is not a hotel that's calm and quiet. There's a queue for the breakfast buffet, "

"Very near to the Kyoto station with lots of food option. Good for us to hurry for early morning Shinkansen ride to Tokyo. Breakfast time starts at 6:30am and is awesome but please allow yourself time to enjoy it. "

"Great value. Room was nice and spacious. Gym weights only went up to 20kg which was not ideal but can't expect too much from a hotel gym. Laundry machines aren't the best... whole load of laundry was still soaking wet after a long 2 hour cycle. Had to air dry everything back in room. "
