"A very nice boutique hotel with a lot of character. A bar/breakfast area next to reception offered convenience, and a rooftop bar provided outstanding views. Rooms were a little on the small side, but well-designed, modern, and nicely appointed. The staff was excellent --- friendly, engaging, and exceedingly helpful. Hotel was also well-located, within short walking distance to great restaurants and coffee. "

"We had a great stay at the Somos. Staff was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay great. They arranged airport transportation, offered tours, and even packed us a to-go breakfast when we had to leave at 3am to make an early morning flight. "This was definitely a case of the "the pictures are better than the reality". The room was dark, but quiet. Unfortunately, it was pretty dirty. There was hair on the toilet and in the shower. The sheets were of questionable cleanliness and I really shouldn't have lifted the mattress, but I couldn't help myself. The neighborhood is not the best, but it is close to public transport and some cool parks and buildings. During the day it is safe enough, but be careful walking at night (but that could be said for most of Medellin). Overall, it is a convenient, cheap option, but if you are willing to splurge an extra $10 or $20 you should be able to find something much better."
