This is a lovely hotel and was one of the nicest we have stayed in while in japan.
The rooms are large, modern and very clean.
I found the staff at reception and also in the bar to be extremely helpful and they went out of their way to help us offering help without even needing to be asked.
We stayed for only one night so I didn't get to use all the spa facilities but they looked great. It's the perfect hotel for couples to relax in.
The hotel was in a good location to se all the tourist attractions and the train station was only a couple of minutes away
It was a nice and clean place in a quiet neighborhood. I didn't realize it was a 'spa' hotel, still it was a fun experience. The spa was quite nice, and walking around the hotel in bare feet was interesting. The only downside was the transportation. The hotel shuttle runs every 2 hours when we were there in Oct. and there's no local bus nearby. Recommend it if you're going to Lake Kawaguchiko, and having a rental car might be good.
I was initially hesitant to stay at this hotel because there were so few reviews and one said that they had trouble with the online booking but I am so glad that I stayed here. It seems that this hotel was either recently built of completely renovated. It is perfect for westerners that are used to larger rooms. I had no trouble with my booking and feel this was a bargain compared to what I had at other hotels. I didn't check out the spa service but they offered a variety of treatments for between $30 to $150. I was in this area to hike to the summit of Mt. Fuji. Coming back to a quiet comfortable place was perfect. The only negative of this hotel is that there isn't much to offer close by so find a restaurant to eat at in town. There is a free hotel shuttle with limited service or $20 for a taxi. Hotel staff was very nice and spoke English. I would definitely stay here again.
We were just looking for a reasonably priced hotel to stay overnight. This seemed quite luxurious for the price. The main business seems to be a spa, but the hotel rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I'm not sure that they get many customers through hotels.com as they had trouble locating our reservation and even after they found it couldn't tell that it had already been prepaid via the website so they asked for payment again and had to go into the back to check when I told them it was already paid. Other than that bit of confusion at check-in, the facility was very nice. Since I speak Japanese it was fine, but it seemed like it might have been a bit confusing for them to figure it out if I hadn't been able to speak Japanese. Also, there's not much in the immediate neighborhood, but we did get an incredible view of Mt. Fuji from across a barren field just up the road when we left the next morning.
