"Nice hotel in nice surroundings. The bed was soft but that is personal preference. The room was clean and big. Friendly staff. Good for a few days. "I love scousers because of their warmth and friendliness but the service here - apart from the reception - was abysmal. If breakfast is supposed to be served until 9.30am you shouldn’t be made to feel like a criminal when you greet the staff with a friendly ‘good morning’ to be met with a cold response, looking at their watches and offering no welcome greeting in return. Just appalling when you consider how much working people like us spend in these places. "

"This was a good value hotel with a good bar and breakfast. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfy.Staff very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking. We didnt eat here as chef was off but plenty of dining options in locality . This was my second visit. The only downside was the noise from the traffic . Will stay here again as its handy to visit"

"A beautiful place in beautiful surroundings. Staff so welcoming and friendly, all staff approachable and helpful from dining to leisure staff. Food was excellent, my partner says the scrambled egg for breakfast was the best he ever had! Such a variety on offer from breakfast, including gluten free and all dietary requirements provided for. The swimming pool child friendly and also perfect for couples and adults to escape for a bit! The rooms were clean and spacious, with lovely details such as fresh water available around the whole complex. We will be staying again, so much to do in the surrounding areas, only a short drive from so many places and such a lovely place to return to at the end of the day! "

"Great open space for socialising with a bar, restaurant, pool table and TV's. Small area with kids toys to entertain the little ones too. Most of the staff were freindly, with only one member of staff telling the kids to keep the noise down. That was the only annoying thing, as there were no other guests present other than our party of about 15 people, so I'm not sure who stood to benefit from the 6 kids reducing the noise, when they were just being normal kids playing hide and seek. All in all, good stay and i'd definitely recommend the hotel."
