"I'm a regular at Pod 39 when I come to NYC by myself. It's very minimalist and if I was planning to spend more time in my room, I'd go elsewhere, but exactly what I need when I'm in the city to see shows and check out some exhibitions. Always clean and my room is always ready when I arrive (which has not been my experience at other NYC hotels). "

"I am a bit indifferent. Many reviews were negative, but I am glad I read them. The hotel is actually located in two buildings across the street from each other. So when the receptionist said my room was across the street, I was not surprised. The North Tower as they call it, seems like an old office or apartment building. Very small lobby and the clerk that handed me the room key was engrossed in watching a TV show on their phone. The room was small, typical for NYC, and seemed newly renovated...

"there was an issue with our key cards when we checked in & we were unable to get into our room. manager sean went above & beyond to get us into a different one and make sure everything was satisfactory. the room was very clean with comfortable beds. "

"Perfectly fine, clean hotel close to Grand Central. Good value for the money, large room (by NYC standards). Felt comfortable for a family of four in a room with two queen sized bed. The kitchenette our room had an ice maker in the fridge--which was an unexpected but nice thing to have in a hotel room. Plenty of restaurants and amenities near by for all needs."

"The stay was more than enjoyable and for a weekend/short stay the room I booked was adequate but I would expect a mini-fridge in even lower level rooms which is something to be mindful of for traveller's who may have wanted to refrigerate any items they brought or purchased. Great area, very walkable, and plenty of amazing restaurants nearby."
