"Conviene location. 10 m walk to Umeda a gigantic shopping district but we prefer Osaka station where you can find many restaurants and cafes and less crowded than Umeda. Surprisingly we found Donkey on the right side of the Osaka station. Hotel is generally good considering you are in a big city. Front desk is very kind and speak good English."

"BEAUTIFUL hotel and had an excellent stay while I was in Kyoto. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our stay, and the room was spacious for a Japanese hotel. I liked how they have a public bath, breakfast, and a nice garden to view out to in the lobby and the placement of the hotel right in the middle of Downtown Kyoto is perfect for walking and for taking the bus/subway to other locations. I would highly recommend booking this place again as it was perfect spot to set up base to enjoy my Kyoto trip."

"This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the amenities are outstanding. Pretty convenient and walkable to many train stations. We loved the breakfasts, the nightime ramen, all-day matcha lattes, popsicles/ice cream, massage chairs, and on-site onsen! Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Very easy for non Japanese speaking travelers and great for families with children."

"Beautiful hotel. Staff was extraordinary. The Onsen was so organized and clean. The rooms were super spacious for a family of 4. Close to trains and other Kyoto sites. We will be back again soon! "

"The hotel is not the closest to USJ but still very close and convenient. Our room faced the back of the property so the view wasn’t great but we didn’t stay there for the view. The room was set up for 4 people, and all beds had a set of pyjamas for us to use during our stay. The bathroom/wet room was clean and pleasant to us after a long day of travelling. All available toiletries and amenities are downstairs in the reception for us to grab. They also have lockers for guests to use upon check out which was very handy and helpful as we travelled with backpacks and didn’t fancy taking them around with us at the park. "
