"This wasn't in the heart of the Kyoto center but we paid roughly $33 per night. Did not have daily cleaning but left fresh towns and pajamas on the door every afternoon. The room temp could not be cooled and they had the windows wired shut. So the sleeping conditions were not ideal for my liking but my wife loved it. I was able to crack the window a slight bit but the late night noise from the street sounded like they were filming Tokyo Drift 7 every once in awhile. So we kept the window...

"Overall, it's a great hotel. The location is excellent, the room has convenient amenities like a washing machine, electric kettle, plates, cutlery, and a fridge, perfect for making tea and having some fruit in the evening. While the level of English at the hotel is poor, they have a robot that provides instant translations. What surprised us was that they charged us in advance for all seven nights, which had never happened to us before. The room wasn't cleaned daily, but they changed the towels...
