"We celebrated an engagement at the Kāmana Lakehouse and honestly it se the tone for our whole trip. It was so lovely to come home to such a cozy and chic hotel. The fires roaring in the lobby, the views from the restaurant, it all made for a very warm experience. The staff were very friendly! We didn’t get to experience the soaking tubs because they were in high demand, so we suggest booking your soaks ahead of time!"

"We booked one of the suites near the cemetary and loved it. The room was very comfortable and had an excellent view of Queenstown. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I only wish there was cutlery in the kitchenette - it was strange to have a kettle and toaster with no cutlery or crockery - these needed to be hired from reception."

It was really expensive for what you got and the eggs were always cold - even when we arrived first as soon as breakfast opened - and the "hot beans" were also always cold. By the end of our week long stay, we all just chose to not eat rather than eat that breakfast "

Location is excellent if you are happy to be out of town a bit - approx. 10 minute drive. But the rooms are a little dated and in serious need of a refresh (at least ours was). There was only 1 chair and 1 bedside table in our room and I think it's reasonable to expect an enclosed shower these days rather than one over the bath with a shower curtain. That said, shower...
