"This hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking designs that truly make it a work of art. You can tell that a lot of care and attention went into the building, and the result is a beautiful, clean, and welcoming space. "Nice hotel, but is allowed to smoke everywhere 😥"

"The hotel seems to be a bit old (was told over 20 years) but the staff were very friendly and helpful when we complained about the odor in the rooms. The hotel manager Brenda was very nice. She apologized and showed us other rooms that are clean and fresh. We switched to the new rooms and was happy about it. The staff in the restaurant, front desk , concierge were also very friendly and helpful. We are very satisfied and pleased during the stay. "

"conveniet downtown location. The hotel itself is new. Room we got was a bit small but it's fine. The noise was not obvious in the room which is very important. We didn't really spend a lot of time in the hotel, but the interactions with the staff were nice. "

"The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The riverview is worth the upgrade especially at night when the city lights up. The breakfast has a nice mix of western and Chinese foods. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and a short walk to a ferry to cross the river. "Booked 4 upgraded rooms with the family. Staff are under trained. Definitely catered to Chinese speaking guests only and not foreign friendly. Upon arrival, (it was 6pm) they gave us a room barely ready with the windows open. Immediately after entering, our nose were filled with such harsh chemicals. Unbearable. "

"Although the interior looks a bit old, it is quite clean. The location is good as it is near to subway stations and attractions. Other than mineral water, hotel provides complimentary yogurt too. Just that there are some constructions going on near the hotel, and it continues until late night, so it might be quite disturbing to some. "

Good staff but difficulty communicating

"The room was smoke free and pretty clean. I did find it a bit warm and difficult to turn the thermostat down. The staff were warm, attentive and friendly and would go out of their way just to come to my door and ask if I needed things. Here’s the problem: the hotel advertises itself as having English language service, and in truth this service was very limited. I chose this hotel because it was a USA based hotel chain that advertised English service. I had difficulty communicating with most staff, both of us using translator apps that did not always communicate the right thing. Even ordering room service off their own menu was a headache. A few times it seemed more senior staff had to be pulled away from other duties to help me which I felt guilty about. I don’t expect ALL staff at a hotel in China to have fluent or stronger working English but I was surprised so few did. Worse, because as a foreign tourist I did not have a Chinese phone number, the staff wanted my Chinese friend’s number, and asked for her to translate. She was not staying with me the whole time and this was not an option, plus it was a burden on her."
