"The room itself was lovely (we stayed in the 2 bedroom suite). With the exception of arranging a driver for us to go have dinner in town (he literally never came and also they were looking to charge 4 times as much as an Uber which is outrageous) was good and attentive. In room dinner was cute and so was breakfast but hard to get their waiters attention. All in all, a nice & cozy Stellenbosch stay."

"Staying there was a good experience. Comfortable rooms, well maintained, good breakfast, friendly staff and excellent drinking water from the tap (increasingly rare). The adjacent street is easy to hear if you don't choose the back side. The pool was just okay only. Price-performance ratio is good and I would be happy to come back."

"We had a lovely couple of nights here whilst we explored the surrounding Stellenbosch area. We were travelling with our baby and nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff - they had thoughtfully put a mosquito net over the cot they had set up for her and there was a high chair ready and set up every morning when we came down for breakfast - we really appreciated these touches. "The Spier is a lovely vineyard with good accommodation. They are now starting a complete renovation of the hotel and keeping all their staff on as part of the plan . I have always felt completely safe and cared for within the hotel grounds . A wonderful breakfast in the sunshine is the perfect way to start the day . There are many things to do swimming , cycling , walking , visit the hotel vegetable garden and see the birds enroute . I look forward to visiting Spier next year after its...

"La Gratitude was amazing. The fee does not include the entire apartment and I had to pay more for access to the other rooms which was an issue especially as there isn't such option or statement when you book. Hopefully, they will resolve that. Although I had to pay more than expected and what was advertised, they dealt with the issue promptly and professionally and I would highly recommend this apartment to others. "It is in the centre of the town and everything is within a minute or two literally. So it is a super convenient place with very nice staff. But the building is old and the facilities are not great. So it's good for a short stay but you may find better places if you don't mind doing a bit of walking."

"This is luxury personified. Stunning views, wonderful rooms with the option to stay in bespoke accommodation. Such as a private pool or hot tub options. There is simply no better view on the Helshgoote Pass. Staff were extremely helpful with nice touches to enhance guests stay throughout. This is a high end luxury hotel with a relaxed atmosphere we will definitely be returning."

"This place is absolutely stunning! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the owners, we were made to feel at home. The grounds are spectacular, the room well equipped, immaculately clean and the staff all amazing. The breakfast is fabulous, with freshly made omelettes, fruit, cereals, toast and meats and cheeses. I highly recommend this place and we hope to come back some day! "
