"Great location to downtown Monterey. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was built in 1909, it kind of had a cool spooky feel to it. Would definitely stay again on my next visit. My only complaint is the valet price is high and you really need to valet. It didn’t feel safe to leave our car on the street. "

"This is now my favorite spot to stay when visiting Monterey. The morning staff was wonderful I didn’t get the lady’s name that helped us Saturday morning but she was wonderful. My only complain is the afternoon and evening staff (2 females front desk) were not so nice or helpful they shouldn’t work the front desk if they don’t want to be there… but I would definitely recommend staying here you definitely won’t be disappointed💕"
