This hands-on cooking class will be the best way to understand Italian food. I invite you to my property in the country near Venice (45 mins by train). I organize small group cooking lessons for anyone interested in learning the basics of Italian cuisine. My classes will be in English and a practical cooking experience. By the end of the course, you will be able to cook dishes like fresh homemade pasta, such as lasagne, potato gnocchi, or risotto; as a dessert, you will learn to prepare a traditional tiramisù (each lesson prepares three recipes from a list of suggested dishes.). Previous experience is not required. My cooking classes will be on my family farm, a typical Agriturismo mainly geared towards hospitality. The classes start at 10:00 a.m. I will explain the day’s menu and tell you the history and tradition of the Italian dishes we will be making. Then we cook lunch and eat together. Good Italian wine is a perfect match for my dishes.
