What you can expect

29/12 - ASSISI - GUBBIO & THE WORLD'S LARGEST CHRISTMAS TREE
In the morning, while the other participants reach the meeting point, we suggest you to pay an independent visit to Assisi.

1.00 pm: Arrival at the hotel, welcome of guests, check-in & welcome aperitif at the Le Viole Country Hotel with a buffet with tasting of delicious Umbrian delicacies.

2.30 pm: Meeting with the bus driver and departure for Gubbio, a city with an ancient history whose roots date back to the Paleolithic era, an incredible open-air museum, which in 1375 gave birth to one of the most influential Umbrian artists, Ottaviano Nelli, painter and miniaturist.
3:15 pm Meeting with the tourist guide for a guided tour of the city.

Gubbio and Christmas have been linked since 1981, when on the slopes of Mount Ingino it was decided to install a Christmas Tree in honor of the city's patron saint, San Ubaldo. The Tree entered the Guinness Book of Records as “The World's Largest Christmas Tree”. Walk in the historic center and markets. 6:00 pm Lighting of the Christmas tree, time for photos, and departure for a tasty typical Umbrian dinner.

30/12 - ORVIETO & THE TREE OF LIGHT IN ST. PATRICK'S WELL
8:30 am Departure by bus to Orvieto & meeting with the guide. During the holidays Orvieto transforms into a picturesque Christmas village, with its cobbled streets illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lunch in a local restaurant. Before returning to the hotel, typical Umbrian dinner “The thousand ways of Torta al testo”.

31/12 - TREVI, LUNCH IN WINERY, RASIGLIA & END OF YEAR CELEBRATIONS
8:45 am Departure by bus and arrival in Trevi, meeting with the guide. Umbrian village of incredible history and beauty, Trevi is immersed in a hilly landscape full of olive groves that produce one of the most prized extra virgin olive oils in Italy. The city, with its narrow cobbled streets and stone houses, preserves the charm of the past, offering visitors an authentic and evocative experience.
12:30pm - Departure for lunch in a prestigious winery.
2:30 pm - After lunch we reach Rasiglia, “the village of springs”, a small medieval village famous for the waterways that cross the town, which make it unique and fascinating. Free walk for a coffee or an ice cream before returning to the hotel, scheduled time 5.00 pm to get ready for the end of year evening.

7:45 pm - Departure for the New Year's Eve party at “Il Poeta Contadino”, a restaurant between Perugia & Assisi. The rich dinner will be enlivened by 70s/80s/90s music with a DJ. After the midnight toast, fires, and dancing, return to the hotel by bus. End of services.

01/01 - SUGGESTED VISITS: The 1st day of the year is dedicated to celebrating spirituality in Assisi with the New Year's mass in the basilicas of San Francesco or Santa Maria degli Angeli. The day continues with a visit to live nativity scenes, with the special recommendation of the nativity scene of San Gregorio d'Assisi.
