Get to know one of the most interesting towns in Magna Graecia as well as one of the most important town in Italy thanks to the Navy which has the maritime arsenal, its monuments, and the MarTa Archaeological Museum. Cross the revolving bridge, a symbol of Taranto which connects the island of Borgo Antico with the peninsula of Borgo Nuovo. About 90 meters long, it was inaugurated in 1887 and overlooks a large navigable canal that unites the 2 seas: the Mar Grande and the Mar Piccolo. Conclude the tour with a visit to the Cathedral of San Cataldo, probably the oldest in Puglia, built by the Byzantines in the latter half of the 10th century, although remodeled with a Baroque façade in the mid-1700s.
