This Pha Theung Jungle Explorer Tour gives you a chance to discover not only the breathtaking landscapes of both of the Nam Ou and mighty Mekong rivers together with their surrounding areas but also a visit to the famous and holy Pak Ou Caves.

You will depart from Luang Prabang at 8:30AM on a local songtheow truck heading north for Ban Hadkhang, which takes you about 1.5 hours to travel. Once coming to the village, you will begin your trek through some teak and dense rubber plantations. After trekking for about half an hour the dense jungle gradually replaces the vegetation.

You will certainly immerse into the charm and excellent diversity of the local flora and fauna. It will make you feel like venturing into another world under the canopy of giant trees with orchids, ferns, creepers and more.
