At the end of the tour, you can decide if you prefer to stay to enjoy the place for longer or return to the Sotomayor Square with your guide. The funiculars are one of the highlights of Valparaíso. This is the city with more of them worldwide. They are 2 small wooden cars that go up and down at the same time on diagonal rails, connected with a flexible steel cable, specially built to help local people and travelers to reach the hills. The Reina Victoria funicular was built in 1902 and it is the shortest and steepest funicular in Valparaíso, but don't worry, it's located right in front of the cemetery, just in case!

After enjoying the walk through the Unesco area, we take the first steam funicular of Valparaíso (currently electric), opened in 1902, downhill to reach the center.
