On this guided trek, you will be taken through jungle paths, and river crossings to mysterious depths of the cave where amazing stalactites and stalagmites await you. As you traverse along the cave, there are outstanding artifacts and skeletal remains from ancient Mayan rituals, including the famous calcified human remains called Crystal Maiden.

Upon your arrival at our office, you will check in with the front desk. Once the tour guide has provided a full briefing, you will depart on a short 1.5-hour drive to the parking lot of Actun Tunichil Muknal. There is a grocery store stop along the way to purchase snacks or items you may need.
At the parking lot, you will be suited with your helmets, headlights, and lifejackets before embarking on a 45-minute flat walk towards the cave entrance. During that walk, you will cross the river three different times. If you are unable to swim, the tour guide is delighted to assist you in any way necessary.
Upon arrival at the cave entrance, you will swim into the cave, and begin your exploration of Xibalba.
