Ajloun Castle

Umm Qais or (Gadara) was a centre of Greek culture in the region during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The oldest archaeological evidence at Umm Qais, extends back to the second half of the third century BC, and the site have been founded as a military colony by Alexander the Great. From there also you can see an amazing view for the Sea of Galilee and part of Nazareth where Juses (peace be upon him) was born.

Its strategic value came from the nearby oasis, the only water source in a vast desert region. The name of the fortress and associated town came from these. The settlement was known in antiquity as Basie and the Romans were the first to make military use of the site, and later an early mosque was built in the middle. It did not assume its present form until an extensive renovation and expansion by the Ayyubids in the 13th century, using locally quarried basalt which makes the castle darker than most other buildings in the area.

Mount Nebo is an elevated ridge of the Abarim in Jordan, approximately 710 metres (2,330 ft) above sea level. It is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. The view from the summit provides a panorama of the land and, to the north, a more limited one of the valley of the Jordan river. The West Bank city of Jericho is usually visible from the summit, as is Jerusalem on a very clear day, Dead sea is also visible.

Saint George Church or as its called (The Church of the map), it contains the Madaba Mosaic Map, it is part of a floor mosaic in the early Byzantine church of Saint George in Madaba. The Madaba Map is of the Middle East, and part of it contains the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem. It dates to the 6th century AD.
St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church

This Church is a Latin Catholic Church, it is the oldest church which the religious rituals still held in it since it was built until this now non stop. Contains numerous paintings, frescoes and sculptures depicting the life of John the Baptist ( Yahya ). It also contains an acropolis consisting of ancient basements and an old Moabi well and several ancient monuments under the church, which were once used as a temple, a school and a home for the priest. The church also follows the Latin school. The monastery visitor center contains a replica of a Byzantine mosaic floor found in Umm al-Rasas. you will be able also to go up to the tower bell and see a view for the city of Madaba.
Wadi al-Mujib
