"This stay was absolutely wonderful, and the host was extremely attentive and understanding. The entire house is very well kept, and everything is in great condition. "The Executive room was grand, complimented by high ceilings and just an overall large space compared to many other hotels/inns one would expect in Japan. "This Ryokan is so lovely. Upon checking in they served me tea and waffles in my room and then left snacks in addition to the free tea and ramen in the hallway. The room was extremely clean and it was so nice to put on the yukata they provided and sit on the cool tatami floor at the end of the day blow drying my hair. The futon bed was also very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I return to kyoto. "

"Perfect for a family of four. Beds were great, the space was plenty (especially for Japan), and it had great amenities like a washer/dryer, separate toilet and bathroom. And full kitchen. The location was also great: near a subway line and also close to the philosophers walk.
