"The room was clean and within walking distance to downtown. The bed was not comfortable, it sank in the middle. And the screen door wouldn’t shut all the way. Overall it was a fine place to stay for a couple of nights."

"I recently stayed at the Embers for one night and wish I had a longer stay. the location was very private and beautiful. the area around it in Blowing Rock is great, with lots of dining options. the rooms are spacy. I had the single king size room . the bathrooms and showers are just beautiful and they have all the essentials you need. Very Clean, beds are comfortable, coffee water & expresso available in your room. robes and slippers are provided "

"We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The walls were a little thin and at times we could hear our neighbors conversations but no one was overly loud and it was not a problem at night. "Check in was incredibly fast and easy. The staff was super friendly and nice. The bed linens and bathroom linens were spotless, super white and fresh! I only had two issues: 1. There was a strong smell of a cleaner or air freshener in the room and 2. The grout in the bath tub was a little dirty. Neither of these issues would cause me to not stay again. We had a great stay. Staff was remarkable!"

"We had a balcony with a very nice view. The room was spacious and clean. It is an older property but in very good shape. The only thing I had a problem with was the air freshner that was plugged in. I am sensitive to oders and it was choking at first. They took it out but it still took a while with the patio door open to clear the air. I still recommend this place."
