"This is an excellent hotel, situated in an ideal position in Betwys y Coed. The staff were lovely, especially Jude who took care of us for the week we were there. The rooms were good, clean & comfortable, good bed. The food was ok - typical breakfast fare and a decent restaurant without being spectacular. Overall an excellent stay. I would definitely go there again. "

"All the staff at the Royal Oak couldn’t have done anything more to help us during our stay. From advising us how to get to Pen-Y-Pass, which routes to take up Snowdon and where is good to eat. The food was great and a good range of options for all on the menu. Hotel itself is a little tired and could do with decorating in some places but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to do Snowdon again (which is likely) and would recommend...

"What a find base camp Snowdonia was. Very easy entry and check-in, as we arrived late and it was dark. The bedroom was very clean and the individual bunks with curtains made it very private, even though we were sharing. The whole place was very secure."
