"We chose the lodge on the recommendation of our tour guide company as a retreat to chill out after a busy 8 days visiting the Galapagos and Amazonia. It was indeed a relaxing location where my wife took advantage of the resort spa and I was able to enjoy the scenic walks and spot a few bird varieties. The food and hospitality was good. A few of the treks were restricted and that was the only negative point."

"We spent two nights in Cuenca to visit one of our workers and while there stayed in the Casa Ordonez. We stayed there because the reviews were so good. We were impressed by the friendliness of the owner and his staff. They were quick to meet all our needs, put us in a better room the second night, arranged tours for us and we just appreciated them so much. Breakfast was very good and different every day! "
