Overall nice property. Staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds were well kept. This is a hilly property, but they offer a very responsive shuttle service. Our room in bldg 14 offered a phenomenal view of the bay. We stayed at this resort about seven years ago. Not much has changed and some of the areas of the property are worn. That said all employees try hard to ensure a memorable stay. We would consider returning in the future.

The property was very nice. The bed was comfortable and we had a very good view of the bay, which made our stay much better. If you wanted to do things on the bay, they suggested you to do so in the morning due to the wave in late morning. Food was okay, but some what limited since there were only 3 other locations and they could essentially be visited only once per stay. Other than that you had to eat at the buffet, which had limited selection. Overall, i would give this a rating of 3 stars.

Place was awful, food rotten, drinks were not up to par except coffee machines where coffee was delicious. Dont expect to receive water bottles even if it 33C. Management has hand tied, staff trying but very limited. Stayed here before years back, place was wonderful, not now..grounds are beautiful. Geting around is by shuttle or very long walks and many steps from place to pkace.do yourself favor...go ELSEWHERE. Toilets were dirty on arrival, floor in room filthy. Alcohol drinks are joke...although store has some name brand alcoho selections you can buy for inflated price. Car rental in place tried to rip me off. Again, best thing I can say, staffwas trying to hold things together, wasn't able to gandle all the constant issues. My vacation was ruined

The property is very pretty. Rooms were clean. The waiters/servers were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Also the drivers in resort were awesome. A little bit of a language barrier with cleaning staff. Tried to get more coffee and creamer in room, but was a steuggle. Mini bar in room was very limited, tried to get it changed to what we drank, but they wouldn't change anything. There was a lot of stairs. From our room to main lobby was 66 stairs, from there to pool was 76 stairs. Was okay for us, but if you have mobility issues, you had to rely on drivers or ask to stay in a different area. All in all, nice place.

The grounds are beautifully designed and landscaped. The staff’s knowledge of English was very limited. The food was bland and boring. Dining room seating was inadequate. The massage therapist at the spa was texting on her phone while giving me a reflexology treatment.

The property was very well looked after which because of the strong winds seemed like a every minute job. The wait staff and transport drivers were very wonderful to us. If fact everyone was friendly but the language barrier posed some issues trying to get daily things in our room was a bit of a problem. We noticed that even been a Premium Level Member things weren't consistent, the rooms should have contained the same things like robes, slippers and wine glasses were in one room but not another. We know this because we travelled with another couple. We had hoped that after the first day that the missing items would be replaced but that never happened during our 10 day stay. The mini bar was kind of a disappointment as even if you requested something different it was not available. My husband and I don't drink alcohol by even when we told them no beer thats what was given. When the minibar is to have free beverages should it not contain the beverages that the guest would like and prefer. We had a couple issues calling down to the front desk to get issues resolve or we would leave notes with requests with items we needed or would like but it didn't happen because of the language barrier after a while we gave up and unfortunately it became a bad feeling for us.

The grounds are gorgeous. The pools are great. No breakfast options other than the cafeteria which has very little food variation. The snack bar is extremely limited. The steak grill restaurant is awful. Italian and Oriental restaurants are excellent. Staff helpfulness is hit or miss. JJ who helps coordinate excursions is really helpful and extremely polite. Enrique is also extremely helpful and professional.

I will say the property itself is very pretty. The views are gorgeous. But that is where it ends. The food was so bad. No variety and the quality of food was subpar . There was nothing to do other than swim or go down to the beach. The nightlife there was non existent. The excursions were good but way overpriced.

Beautiful Place, on the mountain side of the pacific coast, the main staircase from reception down to the first large pool is incredible. Birds, Monkeys, Iguanas--everywhere. Nice people, friendly service, lots of food and drink options. Beach has wonderful shells at low tide and great swimming. Rent a car for your stay and travel on your own to some of the remote beaches to the North--the roads are rough--but the adventure is something you will remember for the rest of your days. Take two big drives--go to Monte Verde and see the cloud forest--don't forget to drink some coffee in Monte Verde's small town on the way out. Then go to Rincón de la Vieja National Park and see the volcano. Just incredible. VIDA PURA

It’s a beautiful property in a lovely, hilly area, therefore not good for those with physical handicaps. Close to the airport which is good for flights, although there is no help with luggage for an early departure. Food and restaurants are good but repetitive menu. Staff is very friendly but they can’t always provide some service when you want it. The rooms are very clean but the gym could use some cleaning products.

Property was well kept. The people are very nice. Our room was supplied with nice towels and the bed was good. The speciality restaurants were nice, the food was good, but once the service was very slow. The pools were nice, one that was more quiet. Overall, it was a nice holiday.

The resort is beautiful, quiet, and not crowded. The room and furniture needs upgrade but not a big issue with me. The bed is comfortable. Check-in took too long. Only one person doing check in. Also disorganized. Our group of 4 arrived a day late due to flight was turned around then cancelation due to maintenance issue. We were charged the first night that we did not make it. When we arrived the next day, our rooms were not ready. Finally got out rooms but not together how we have requested. I hate to say it but they gave our rooms to someone else and got paid twice for our rooms. Disappointed with the food. Same everyday. The ladies in the buffet dinning area were very friendly. The shuttle guys and orher staffs are very friendly.

The staff was amazing except for like one or two persons at the main buffet but the over all experience was amazing, the place is so amazing and relaxing. I enjoyed everything about this place, the beach was literally on the resort and they had an amazing pool with a bar. Would definitely go to this place again. Being in Costa Rica really make you feel like you are literally living life. Love this place so much.

What I like most was the convenience of excursions (package for purchasing) and food options. Literally all inclusive food including drinks but for top shelf you’ll new to upgrade to premium. Beautiful property with several amenities including a private beach. I definitely recommend this resort. What I dislike to say the least… Shopping and overall neighborhood wasn’t walkable you had to uber or taxi to the nearest town since the resort sits on the top of a mountain.
