"The hotel was good as was the breakfast, ideal for our needs. Parking however was a problem. Nearest carpark was a 15 minute walk away and no way of paying for a continuous stay, requiring a trip to the carpark at 9am to top up the payment. Not so bad on a dry day, but in the rain….?"

"Very friendly host/owner. Managed to get there on the first day before their restaurant service finished and had an excellent spicy pizza. Shame I didn't have time to try other menu items. The room itself was a good size, lots of storage space and a kettle with some coffee/tea on hand. The bed was fine, although a little firm for my taste but otherwise comfortable. "The staff were friendly & welcoming, the hotel was mostly clean but some areas of the room had been poorly cleaned. My issue is with the decor of the room. Bare concrete walls are not conducive to a welcoming, comfortable stay, no matter what artistic crap reason you give for stinting on the decorating. The lighting was dingy & swallowed by the heavy, dark walls. Coupled with the extremely small size of the room it felt like a prison cell. It's a shame as the bathroom was great & the staff...

"Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. "
