"We had a great experience at Tierra Vivo. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, location was convenient, and breakfast was great. The staff was also very accommodating and welcoming, and allowed us to keep our luggage there for 4 days while we did our Machu Picchu trek. Only complaint is that in the second room we stayed in, there was a gap at the top of the door which allowed a lot of noise to come through. Other than that, highly recommend and would stay here again!"

"Nice hotel with great views. The shower was not closed at the front, meaning that the bath was all wet after each shower. Worse was that on the last two days there was no running water. This meant that we could not shower or use the toilet after sweaty hikes and before our flight, but this was probably an issue for multiple building in this area. We wanted to have dinner in the hotel's restaurant but it was mostly closed, even though indicated otherwise. Finally, we only had breakfast twice at...

"Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. My spouse kept on and off the oxygen without success of bringing her blood oxygen level up on her own. We ran out of the oxygen in the middle of the night, and the 24-hr onsite staff helped with another tank while I was trying to book a flight to get us down to Lima...

"Nous sommes restés une semaine dans une chambre avec kitchnette. La chambre et le salon sont spacieux, jolis et propres. La cuisine est fonctionnelle, elle manque un peu d'ustentiles mais ca ne nous a pas vraiment dérangé. Il n'y a pas de chauffage (comme partout) donc il fait frais le soir mais nous n'avons pas du tout eu froid la nuit, pourtant je suis très frileuse ! Aucun probleme avec l'eau chaude. La vue sur cusco est magnifique depuis la terasse! Très bien placée proche de la place...

"We stayed here for 2 evenings and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The location is close to all the nearby shops and restaurants, yet quiet. Breakfast was good, hotel was very cozy and clean there was free potable water and the staff were great. My husband and I got married here and they surprised us with a little gift and bottle of wine! Would recommend this place to anyone. "

"Basic room with a window facing into the passageway, this meant keeping the curtains closed all the time for privacy. The courtyard/passageway echoed alot so a 3am wakeup was not uncommon as people left for tours. The freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was very basic and bottled water was available. A water refill station would have been great to cut down on the plastic bottles. The room was clean and comfortable. "

"I have stayed at Amaru Colonial a few times in the past. I love this beautiful hotel. It has lovely gardens and the rooms have lots of character. There are many choices for breakfast. The staff are amazing and willing to help out how ever they can. It is close to some really great restaurants. The only challenge is walking down the hill. As a Canadian, we are definitely not used to the narrow roads and watching to make sure your purse strap doesn't get caught on a car mirror as the cars...
