"Nice hotel, looks new and updated compared to other hotels in Germany. Very friendly staff! Great drinks at the bar and good breakfast. My only complaint would be the small bathroom/shower but thats par for the course in Germany. Will definitely stay here again next year! "

"Travel stay at the hotel for one night - four family members need two rooms - neutral late arrival 9pm and asked breakfast time - next morning friendly lady at the standard breakfast buffet (still corona safe) - hotel and room clean whereas the surroundings need some maintain."

"Very nice place in a quiet scenic area. Facilities are great plus dining is very personable. Deducted a star due to a front desk member who was rude to me during check in(plus couldn’t locate our reservation the supervisor stepped in and took care of us). Also,our door lock needed repair (the maintenance guy there was top notch and saved the day by fixing our door). Aside from our check in woes this is a very nice place to stay and will probably stay here again."

"The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Everyone from the owners who made you feel like family to all the servers were excellent. The owners spoke English. Although Steffi did not speak a lot of English she tried and always had a smile and was delightful. The tub was an unexpected surprise but a very good surprise. There was also a shower. I highly recommend this gasthof and if we come back we will definitely stay here again."

"If you come on a Wednesday, be careful: the hotel and restaurant are closed and the number on the notice at the door doesn’t work. I was on a cycling tour and had already called the number on the confirmation (which does work) to say I would be arriving at 8.30. Ringing back on arrival I got step by step instructions how to get in and find the room, all in my school German. The restaurant was in the evening shut so no food. "Great for walking or bike riders. Easy drive to dozens of historic towns in Thüringen for daily trips. Impressive staff all around. 5 star service received. Great food, all top level. Worth a revisit."

"We spent one night at this wonderful hotel after biking for many hours. The whirlpool and swimming pool were wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent dinner and a generous breakfast. As I had a flat the caretaker helped us with pumping up my tire! This is a beautiful hotel in a very nice area. "
