"Found the place nice and quiet and clean Paul ( Manager ) comes around weekly clean towels and changes the bed linen. Inside the cabin could do with a fresh coat of paint but everything works the air conditioning is good you have a full size fridge and freezer, TV works well and picks up all free to air programs. Found the prices for accommodation lot’s cheaper than anyone else in the area."

"This property was lovely. The shower over a spa bath was dangerous with no grip rail for support and the shower water went over the floor. The only hazard for older people in a delightful cottage."

"The bed was comfy. Nice walks around and across the road was the water channel. Extra bonus of a washing machine in unit but u had to have your own basket and pegs. BBQ worked really well. Nice to have a separate bedroom to the living space. This is a second time back and there will be many returns. "

"Had as problem with gaining access to the property as the reception was not open in spite of check-in supposedly by open from 2-10pm. A message had been sent to my phone but I was unable to access it. Eventually, we found out that the reception at Mariner's Cove was dealing with Captain's Cove: not ideal and very frustrating. A simple note on the reception door sayi8ng go to Mariners Cove would have made the experience much more eniybale. "

"Loved the location and the layout of the cabin. It was perfect for a short family getaway. We loved that it is walking distance to the shops, beach and playground. The only thing was the fridge wasn’t working properly so unfortunately our food was spoiled. I’m sure it would have been rectified but since we only stayed one full day, it was okay. Other than that, it was close to perfect for us! "

"Fabulous location/ views, unfortunately the cleanliness or lack of let the cottage down. It was also a shame our neighbours were smoking on their deck so we could not have our door open. Minor issue having to use the back entrance due to roadwork."

"We had a wonderful stay (3days). The place is large,comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The kangaroos even come to visit in the evening. We highly recommended it. Just a suggestion, a couple of bowls for a salad are needed in the kitchen. Thanks Sue"

"Disappointing expensive stay compared to our 4 previous stop overs en route to Melbourne. The property advertises as Emmanuel but seems to be part of the Comfort Inn Chain. Toilet was in need of an upgrade as was the bathroom. Wouldn’t stay here again. "

Mariners Cove at Paynesville Motel & Apartments

Lovely living areas

"This was a return visit to Mariners Cove, and our first in the superior apartment. We love the property's location and enjoyed this spacious, very comfortably furnished apartment. The combined toilet/shower/laundry is downstairs, while both bedrooms are upstairs - a detail that wasn't clear in the listing, and while mildly frustrating for us, could be problematic for others. Wifi in the apartment seemed unable to support the streaming apps on the TV and cleaning in the bathroom was incomplete, but overall we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return."
