"The property exuded the glamour of a bygone era which to me, is so NYC. The rooms have obviously been renovated, but I thought it was weird that, for example, bathroom doors that had been upgraded with new hardware were left unfinished where the old door hardware used to be. A little wood putty and some paint goes a long way and the lack of attention to that simple detail took away from the glamour of the hotel. Loved the Byredo products in the bathroom. Staff was great. "Having stayed at the top rated hotels in NYC in the past, I have chosen The Pierre for my last two trips. It is a classic hotel with beautiful decor and impeccable service. Staying at The Pierre is like a timewarp back to the elegance of a bygone era you do not find elsewhere. To a person the staff treats the guests incredibly, commenting to you as you pass by. A great experince!"

"We had a suite which was very spacious in comparison with other NY hotels. The location is perfect. All major theaters and times square are in walking distance. The hotel is older and we had some issues with the cleanliness of the suite when we checked in and construction noice. We were moved to a different suite which was much better. The checkout was a bit of an issue, too. We stayed there for 9 days and didn't get a late checkout. Though, it took them 30 minutes to fix a number of mistakes on...
