Staff doesn't check steam sauna temperature before allowing guests to enter. This safety issue caused my wife's feet and ears to burn due to extreme steam in suana. Reported this to management. Hot tub was barely warm. Room door did not lock. Had to call front desk for an engineer to fix door as it would not lock upon check in. After door was "fixed", door came off the hinges 2 days later and would literally not close. Called front desk again, wasted an hour waiting for engineering to no avail. At risk of losing dinner reservations, had to go to front desk to speak with management. Not an ideal way to spend vacation time discussing hotel facility issues. Was offered an a room upgrade but we declined as it would mean repacking all bags, toiletries, electronics, etc and unpacking again in the middle of the night. Wife repeatedly asked for facial towels, only to not have them sent up. Had to repeatedly call/beg for facial towels. Room service food was cold. Mango haberno sauce for the wings was mushy and did not taste like mango or habernero. Final night ordered food directly at bar in effort to get better quality. Despite ordering no onions and mayonnaise, food contained both onions and mayonnaise. Bussed food back down, reported issue, was comped two drinks. By the time food was remade, wife had fallen asleep and my food was cold. Room cleaning does not shake bed covers, found crumbs on sheets after bed was "made". Nice hotel (in theory), friendly staff but service is lacking
