"The hotel is right on the beach with places a 5 minute walk along the beach. Apart from the breakfast included, we thought the dining prices were too high. I had no hot ( or even warm) water for the 4 nights I stayed despite reporting the problem on a daily basis. Cleaning our rooms ( you get a lot of sand from the beach) was not a daily occurrence and had to be requested. Water and tea bags etc were therefore not replenished without prompting."

"Hvis man leder efter det uspolerede backpacker sted er dette sted det! Oplev ølivet som for 20-25 år siden i Thailand. Ingen Ungabunga. Hængekøje, palmer og easy living. Er du til fest og farver til den lyse morgen, så tag et andet sted hen. Her er det familieejede sted med små hytter ren originalitet. Må det forblive sådan, så man også fremadrettet kan finde tilbage til rødderne!"

"We enjoyed our stay here for 5 nights. We stayed in the standard studio room and it was super clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. There's no AC but the ceiling fan works just fine for cooling you down! Loved the dogs Tommy & Kenzo, they were so friendly and good protectors from the monkeys - if you've seen reviews saying there aren't any monkeys, trust me they're wrong. We saw them daily! You're basically living right on the jungle here which is also quite cool, we loved looking for...

"Nice property that is in need of many repairs. Pool tiles gone and not replaced. Ditto for decking. Ditto for pool and beach gear (Masks, snorkels etc) in need of replacement. Lovely villa and it was spotless. By far the best improvement would be the meals which were far below average. We took across the bay to eat at the high beach as the Pearl needs both better quality and decent food. Coming from Phenom Penh and Seam Reap which had amazing food and options we were disappointed. "
