"My son and I were traveling and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was close to many sites. The breakfast was great and had so many choices. We also celebrated my birthday with dinner here. The food was very good and our waiter was fabulous!!"

"Modern, impressive building - looks like a James Bond villains lair. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast with lots of different options. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was good quality. No milk was provided in the room for teas and coffee. "

"Fosshotel Mývatn is a gem in North Iceland! This was my second time staying here, and once again, it exceeded expectations. The rooms are modern, cozy, and offer incredible views of Lake Mývatn. The staff was warm and helpful, and the on-site restaurant served some of the best meals I had on the trip. It's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding natural wonders, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area!"

"Excellent beds and pillows. The room felt safe. Enough space to dry out our clothes. The instant coffee was hard to enjoy but at least they had something to boil water. The water also was excellent. Great people! "

"The host left our key and directions to our cabin at the check in. We were pleasantly surprised by a larger cabin than we had booked. We didn’t see the host until we checked out two days later. The kitchen was functional. No towels were provided for bathing. The northern lights were visible both nights we were there. "

"Very nice guesthouse close to the Ring Road. Super spacious room with a clean private restroom, quiet, and easy parking. Large and delicious breakfast buffet, and the host and other employees were very warm and friendly. One note -- We arrived rather late after 10pm (not planned), and we were fortunate that another couple was checking in at the same time. In general, you'd need to call a number to have the host open the reception and check you in, which isn't possible without a SIM card and/or...

"Nice little place, town is cute and has restaurants and gas station. Beautiful ocean view. The food was okay and the room was tiny. No onsite presence overnight but we were happy with the service. "
