"It was our first stay in Sri Lanka, but I must say, charging for extra bottles of water … that’s not acceptable anymore, c’mon! Food was ok, I would rate 3.5 out of 5, service of the staff were also ok! Overall, I think they still have a lot of room for improvement "

"Great hotel in the middle of Kandy, clean rooms with exceptional space, easy to walk to everything and the pool was a refreshing welcome"

"The hotel exceeded our expectations particularly in terms of cuisine. The breakfast, the al a carte menu and the dinner buffets were excellent. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The views from the rooms & the restaurant were majestic. The roof top bar was a plus but the rainy weather interrupted our use of the facility. All in all a perfect two day stay and I highly recommend this boutique hotel for visitors to Kandy. "

"It is very nice hotel, the view is pretty, but the staff are not trained at all, their is poor. The food is okay, heavy in the SriLankan food. I love the chef very helpful, excellent English, and pleasant. unfortunately I forgot his name. "

"Beautiful new hotel with clean and modern rooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel but restaurant looked nice and pool is beautiful. It’s a short tuktuk ride to town but nice and quiet and city views."

"This hotel was perfectly located in Kandy for a short visit and the staff were very friendly and helpful on the reception The aircon didnt work in our room which meant it was very stuffy. The room was comfortable but could have a little TLC to make it better. Great to be so close to the lake and easyto get tuktuks outside. "

"We like the charm of old colonial hotels and would recommend it because of the great location but you should no that a lot of things don't always work. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I saw the one room that has been renovated and it aas very nice with modern bathroom and still the room with colonial style."

"This hotel has spacious rooms and lovely windows to look over the city. What was absolutely outstanding was the customer service and genuine care from staff. We needed to extend our stay on our day of check out after being hospitalised in kandy. The staff organised everything and even waited until we were discharged from hospital at 1230AM to hand deliver us our room key and make sure we got in safe. "

"We celebrated New Year’s Eve here and had a wonderful 24h at this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant offers a wide variety of good food, and the whole atmosphere at the hotel is calm, inviting and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and we got an outdoor “living room” outside our room, right by the pool. We will be back if we/when we come back to Kandy"
