"Excellent service and dinner. Stay spoiled by excessive room noise from external doors and commerical bin banging in the hotel yard outside our room, and from what we think was the kitchen extractor fan running loudly through the night. I wouldn't recommend a room at the rear of the hotel."

"We only stayed one night but would definitely come again! The lady in reception was absolutely lovely - very welcoming - in fact - all the staff were great and we felt very relaxed and ‘at home’! The hotel was pretty and our room was really large with a huge bed and lovely views over the countryside. "I can't really fault it. The property is nice, staff were really nice, the room was just what we hoped for. We had a lovely evening meal followed by a good nights sleep. Breakfast options were all cooked options, although I'm not a breakfast eater so only had some toast. "

"A lovely stay at the Royal Oak for one night. Very friendly and attentive staff. They were more than happy to arrange late access to the property due to us having to return to the room late at night. Breakfast was excellent, with options for full English or kippers, plus plenty of toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. The car park is very small, and can't accommodate all vehicles, however there is ample parking on the road at the front of the property. The room was comfortable with clean linens....

"I found the Old Oak Tree team to be very welcoming. The room size was fantastic as was the breakfast. The pub does evening meals and has a great choice of dishes to suit all palates. Whilst booking a table is definitely recommended as the venue is very popular both locally and further afield for their dishes. I can highly recommend the Old Oak Tree, I will certainly be staying there again. The Old Oak Tree is in the perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire. "
