"Generally ok, staff were hospitable and helpful. But, the manager Mrs Rinie was unfriendly as she was harassing my sister who stayed in another room about the extended hour that we requested and threatening her. "Hotel Excellent location off Penang Road, lots of places to eat, near shopping mall and walk to heritage history. Hotel clean, very relaxing, breakfast excellent, staff very helpful. The tour rep and colleague helped us book a 2 day trip to Kuala Lumper and recommendations, it was very good. A day trip to Penang Hill and Baru Farringu beach is also recommended. Love Malaysia. "

"Arrived late on the check in date but was greeted with tea time even though it was after tea time session. stay was excellent with clean and quiet bedroom. breakfast was great as well with mixture of local and western food. overall a great stay within a great location. things to improve: cant lock toilet door, and the sliding door is noisy. parking is also inconvenient."

"Nice hotel, rooms with a historical view. The rain shower and safe were not working, the pillow sheets had some (old?) stains (from the previous guest?). The room was noisy because of the woorden structures (you could hear new guests arriving), the AC-unit was noisy. The bathroom/toilet doors were very nice wooden self-opening doors,however at closing your partner would wake up from the noise (and probably the neighbors). "We loved our room next to the pool. The property is well maintained and really connects to the heritage experience. Nice lap pool which we used to cool off several times. Staff are extremely pleasant and provided everything we needed. Walkable to some sights and easy pick up by Grab when we needed it. Spoke to a member of staff about breakfast and they said they hoped to bring back this option in the future. A very relaxed stay and would definitely recommend Jawi Peranakan Mansion. "
